ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಬುರ್ಕಾ ಧರಿಸಲೇಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಫತ್ವಾ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದ ಕಾರಣ ಅಫ್ಘಾನಿಸ್ತಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗ ಒಂದು ಬುರ್ಕಾ ಬೆಲೆ 1,500 ರಿಂದ 2,500 ಅಫ್ಘನೀಸ್ಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದೆ. 500-600 ಅಫ್ಘನೀಸ್ ಆಸುಪಾಸಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಬೆಲೆ 1,500-2,500 ಅಫ್ಘನೀಸ್ಗೆ ತಲುಪಿರುವುದು ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಹೇಗಿದೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ನಿದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿದೆ.
The Taliban have returned and so has the fear among many Afghan women of losing the gains they have made over the past 20 years. This fear reflects in the demand for burqas that has surged tenfold in Kabul.
